USA Gymnastics has posted a nice interview with Jordyn Wieber and Kamerin Moore, who recently placed 1st and 3rd AA at Belgium's Top Gym competition. In the interview Jordyn confirms working on an Amanar (Yurchenko 2.5) and says she's also working on a Hindorff and a double-double off bars. We take it that's a layout double-double (her layout full-in dismount is beautiful). Kamerin (who apparently collects dolls and plates - what kind of plates, sweetie?) says she's working on a double-twisting Yurchenko. Check out the rest of the interview for yourself here.
Meanwhile, some more videos of the girls' Top Gym routines have emerged on YouTube...

If I am not mistaken a double-double off bars is a double twisting double back or I supposed layout...
ReplyDeleteA double-double most definitely is a double-twisting double back. What we were wondering about was the body position: layout or tucked. We've since learned that she's been working on a layout double-double for some time, so we guess that's what she was referring to.
